HIGHLAND MIDDLE SCHOOL

Ms. Dixie Greenfield wanted her Special needs class to do the 'Eyeglass Africa Project'. She sought approval from her principal, Elvina Burkowski, to open Highland Middle School doors to the residents of Barberton, Ohio for a drop off site. The local newspaper--the "Barberton Herald" published the story and residents began dropping off glasses. Her students collected the glasses from classmates.
