Your help is needed ![]() The Gbawe Village is located in the Southern part of Ghana near the capital of Accra. It is a small deprived village community with stone quarrying as it's main occupation. Stone quarries have provided a lively hood for the people and have also left them with adverse affects to their health. Eye disease, hearing defects and chest pains are a few of the health problems in this community. Stone quarrying in this area is not mechanical, but manual. Thus the hammer is the main tool used for the job. The people suffer from numerous eye problems, chest pains and hearing loss as a result of their work.
