Among, those not pictured above whose church did an outstanding
job of collecting collecting glasses are: Rev. Dr. Otis Moss of the
Olivet Instutional Baptist Church, his church collected 567 pairs of
Prescription eyeglasses. We especially want to mention, Rev. Larry
Harris, pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, whose members collected
Prescription eyeglasses but concentrated on collecting protective
eyewear for the workers in the stone quarry in Gbawe! We
thank you for that focus, the people in the stone quarry thank you
for your efforts. 300 additional pair of protective eyewear will go
to the people that work in the stone quarry. Additional UPM members, who went the extra mile with the Eyeglass Project. Rev. David Wilson is the owner of Rainbow Family Book Store in Maple Hts., Ohio. He has been in business for over 20 years providing religious books, supplies, and full service inspirational items to the Christian Community. His store was a drop off site for the project, we collected MANY glasses there and received support from other churches who learned of the project by visiting his store! Thanks. Rev. Blandon Harper, pastor of Liberty Hill Baptist Church, his congregation collected many glasses. They also support on a monthly basis a church in Ghana West Africa. Thank You! Rev. Dr. Larry Macon, President of UPM took the project to the ministers meeting. UPM pastors embraced the project and began working with it immediately for the Second Eyeglass to Africa Project! Pastor Macon was among the first four churches to participate in the first Eyeglass to Africa project. Rev. Glover, is pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cleveland. His Congregation embraced the project, delivered their glasses to us wash Cleaned, neatly packaged and counted on time by the first December, deadline date!
